Call for Artists from the National Capital Region who are emerging or mid career
1st Ottawa Timeraiser
November 15, 2008 - Ottawa, Canada
www.timeraiser.ca/en/Ottawa-2008

Dear Artist,
Can your artwork help inspire people to donate their time in support of a great cause? This call pays fair market value, up to $800, if your work is selected! Submissions will be selected by a well-rounded jury.

Submission deadline: Monday June 13th, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.

What is the Timeraiser?
The 1st Ottawa Timeraiser will be held on November 15, 2008 at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. The Timeraiser is a silent art auction with a twist. Instead of bidding money, participants bid volunteer time to agencies that need their skills and energy.

Successful auction bidders have 12 months to complete their volunteer pledge. When they do, they bring the artwork home as a reminder of their goodwill.

To date, the Timeraiser has generated 31,000 volunteer hours and invested $160,000 in the careers of 160 Canadian artists.

Submission Criteria: artists from the National Capital Region who are emerging or mid career.
